W. Warren Holmes

Mr. Holmes was a Director of the company from January 13, 2005 until April 12, 2006. He was reappointed as Director and appointed Executive Vice Chairman of the Company on January 15, 2008.  On September 6 2011 he was appointed Interim President & Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Holmes has 40 years of mining industry experience with Noranda Inc. (1964 -1986), where he became Vice President and General Manager of Pamour Porcupine Mines Limited and Falconbridge Limited (1986 - 2002) where he became Senior Vice-President - Canadian Mining Operations. Mr. Holmes is presently lead Director of Foraco International SA and a Director of Hudbay Minerals Inc., Nuinsco Resources Limited and Victory Nickel Inc. He is also a Director of several public resource companies and research organizations, and holds an engineering degree from Queen's University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

William (Bill) Baird

Mr. Baird was appointed as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation on September 6, 2011 and Director on April 23, 2008. Mr. Baird has over 25 years of senior experience with a number of mining and exploration companies including 10 years with Teck Cominco Limited. Prior to his appointment as Interim CEO, Mr. Baird was a consultant to the Company in addition to other companies in the mining, land management and high technology / data utility industries. Mr. Baird is also a Director of Platinex Inc. 

Wm. Ernest (Ernie) Simmons

Mr. Simmons was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of the Company on January 15, 2008 and was appointed Vice President of Mining and a Director on October 21, 2010. Mr. Simmons has over 40 years of senior experience with a number of mining and exploration companies including Manager of U.S. Operations and Senior Mining Consultant to Asia for Mining Corporation Inc. (Noranda Inc.). Mr. Simmons is a Haileybury School of Mines 3rd year graduate with a BSBA. He also completed advanced MBA post-graduate studies in operations management at Regis University, Denver.

James K. Gray

Mr. Gray has been a Director of the Company since March 15, 2000 and its Chairman since August 4, 2006. Mr. Gray is an exploration geologist who, for over 50 years, was engaged in the oil and natural gas exploration business in Western Canada.  In 1973, Mr. Gray co-founded Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd., one of Canada's larger natural gas producers.  Over the 28 years of his involvement with Canadian Hunter, he served in the positions of Executive Vice President, President and CEO, and Chairman until the company was purchased by Burlington Resources in December 2001 for C$3.4 billion. Mr. Gray has participated in a wide range of community activities and projects.  Among his current activities, he is Chairman of the Calgary Academy, Honourary Chair of the Canada West Foundation and an Honourary Life Director of the Calgary YMCA. Mr. Gray is also a member of the Board of Directors of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., Brookfield Renewable Power Inc., Cequence Energy Inc., Phoenix Technology and RS Technologies Inc.  He is also Director Emeritus of Canadian National Railway.  Mr. Gray most recently became a member of the Alberta Premier’s Council for Economic Strategy.

Mr. Gray was awarded an Honourary Doctor of Laws degree in 1991 by the University of Calgary, the YMCA Fellowship of Honour in 1995, and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1995.  In March of 2001, Mr. Gray received the Energy Person of the Year Award from the Energy Council of Canada.  He was inducted into the Canadian Petroleum Hall of Fame in October 2001.  In October 2002, Mr. Gray was invested as a Member of the Alberta Order of Excellence.  Mr. Gray was inducted into the Calgary Business Hall of Fame in October 2004 and the Canadian Business Hall of Fame in May of 2005.
